Here´s an update on the Trauma-Informed Teaching that was concluded in Suryagadhi Rural Municipality. There were 29 Schools representatives out of which 5 were the principals and many of them were departmental heads. A total of 4000-4500 students could be the secondary beneficiaries through this training. The Municipal Education Officer and the Chairperson of Suryagadhi RM publicly praised the concepts and training regarding Trauma-informed teaching. The participants were really motivated to identify the traumas and triggers of themselves and the children. The Chairperson has shown his great interest in including this topic in the Local Curriculum and has expected us to help in this process. This was the greatest achievement for us. The Participants were really enthusiastic as we saw some of them reaching the training venue in 3 hours of walking. Overall this training has made us more energetic in our field work and in coordination with local authorities for building trauma-free learning environments for the children.
